Poland: The WitcherNiedzica Castle
Poland's Niedzica Castle was built in the 14th century as a fortress to protect the Northern border of Hungary. In The Witcher Niedzica appears as the exterior of Vizima Castle where King Foltest rules over his kingdom of Temeria (Season 1, Episode 3: Betrayer Moon).
After WW2, Niedzica Castle had to undergo major renovations and was restored to its former splendor. With a view to the Tatra Mountains that form the visible border to neighbouring Slovakia, the castle is a stunning place to visit.
