As one of the most remote GOT locations in Northern Ireland, the final kilometre to the hidden village of Galboly has to be made on foot, traversing steep and sometimes muddy ground. Nestled amongst one of the nine glens of Antrim above Garron Point, this area of outstanding beauty stands in as Runestone in the Vale of Arryn.

Once you've caught your breath, you'll experience breathtaking vistas over the surrounding mountains and valleys.

People lived in Galboly until the 1950s, although the 1951 census recorded a population of just six. The last remaining inhabitant, a monk, lived in one of the cottages until he died at the age of 73 in 2013. Originally, the village consisted of ten houses, but most of them are now ruins.
