Northern Ireland: Game of ThronesQuoile River: Trident River
In October 1991, the remains of a Neolithic log-boat, dating back to 2739 BC, was found in the Quoile River during dredging operations. History seems to repeat in the river scene showing Hoster Tully's funeral, which was filmed here.
A branded photo board displays some of the key scenes and the wooden jetty used for the filming is still intact.
When Hoster Tully dies after the Battle of the Blackwater, Brynden and Edmure Tully, together with Cately and Rob Stark, attend the funeral. In Tully tradition, the corpse is put in an open boat and set adrift on the Red Fork of the Trident River. After several embarrasing attempts by Edmure to set the boat alight with a flaming arrow, Brynden takes over and lands a perfect shot (Season 3, Episode 3: Walk of Punishment).

From Strangford Road, turn into no-exit Quay Road and follow it almost to the end, where on the left hand side, you will find a small car park and the wooden pier, which was used for filming.
