Northern Ireland: Game of ThronesLarrybane: Renly Baratheon's Camp
Larrybane offers magnificent views and its limestone cliffs make this part of the coastline one of the most picturesque spots in North Antrim. The disused limestone quarry at Larrybane was chosen as the location for Renly Baratheon's camp in Season 2, Episode 3: What is Dead May Never Die. It now serves as a car park.
Renly Baratheon has summoned his allies to the Stormlands to prepare for the War of the Five. The army has set up camp, and for everyone's entertainment, a tournament has been organised. Ser Loras Tyrell, the brother of Renly's Queen Margaery, is beaten by an unknown knight, who turns out to be a woman by the name of Brienne of Tarth.
After granting Brienne her wish to become a member of his personal guard, Renly welcomes Lady Catelyn Stark into the camp, who has been sent by her son Robb to negotiate an alliance between the two men (Season 2, Episode 3: What is Dead May Never Die).
The location was also used for the Kingsmoot, the gathering of the houses of the Iron Islands to choose a new king after Balon's death. While Yara, Balon's daughter, is the first to proclaim the throne, her uncle Euron ultimately wins the support of the crowd (Season 6, Episode 5: The Door).
